Tips and questions
- Can I use instant or jumbo oats?
- Yes. Quick oats are ready in 2–3 minutes; jumbo oats need closer to 10 and a little more liquid.
- Is porridge gluten-free?
- Oats are naturally gluten-free but are often contaminated with wheat, so buy oats labelled gluten-free.
- Can I reheat leftover porridge?
- Yes, within 2 days. It sets firm in the fridge, so loosen it with a splash of milk while reheating.
