Tips and questions
- Why must the salmon be previously frozen?
- Freezing at -20 °C for at least 24 hours kills parasites such as anisakis. Sashimi-grade salmon sold for raw use has usually been treated this way.
- Can I prepare it ahead?
- Prepare the rice and vegetables a few hours ahead, but marinate the salmon and slice the avocado just before serving.
- What can I use instead of raw salmon?
- Cooked prawns, tuna, or marinated tofu for a vegetarian bowl.
